Professional Credentials

As a certified public accountant, Glenda is held to ethical standards which emphasize integrity as the benchmark for making decisions.  She is licensed as a CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Her original VA license was issued in 1986.  She had a reciprocal license in Alabama from July 1995 through September 2018.  Licensure requirements include education, passage of the Uniform CPA Examination, experience, and forty hours of continuing education yearly.

After entering the accounting profession over three decades ago, Glenda gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in financial management, budgeting tips, and money matters to share with her clients.  With more than twenty years total accounting experience in a CPA firm and as a federal Credit Union examiner for the National Credit Union Administration, she has first hand knowledge and experience of financial matters, cash flow, fraud and scam issues.

As a Notary and certified Notary Signing agent, Glenda is available for in-home notarization and real estate signing services.

Glenda is a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers, an association committed to promoting high standards for client services and their rights to privacy and confidentiality.  Glenda has Daily Money Managers Professional Liability Insurance through Dominion Insurance.  She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Glenda adheres to the profession’s technical and ethical standards, an takes the annual required Virginia Ethics class for CPAs.

By collaborating on an article outlining the steps to qualify a spouse for Medicaid assistance for a nursing home in Northern Virginia, she hopes to untangle the misinformation from the facts and give hope to seniors who may qualify.
